Questions

Frequently asked

How does the ticketing fee work?

Tickets carry a small per-ticket fee — roughly 2% + $0.99, capped at $25 per ticket — plus standard card processing. By default the buyer pays it at checkout, the way most ticketing works, but organizers can toggle it to absorb the fee themselves instead.

Is there a contract or annual commitment?

No. Starter is free for as long as you like, and Gala Pro is priced per gala with no renewal required. The Agency/Org tier is the only annual plan, and it's built for teams running several galas a year who want the per-event price to disappear into one predictable number.

What counts toward the 250-guest limit on Gala Pro?

Confirmed guests on your list for that event. Larger galas simply add a small per-guest amount above 250 rather than being pushed into a different tier — most single galas never need Agency/Org.

Do you take a cut of donations or Fund-a-Need?

No. Donations and Fund-a-Need pledges carry $0 platform fee — donors can optionally cover card processing at checkout so 100% of the gift reaches the cause.

Can we cancel or downgrade later?

Yes. Gala Pro is purchased per event, so there's nothing to cancel between galas. Agency/Org renews annually and can be stepped back down to per-gala pricing at renewal.

How is this so much cheaper than Ticketmaster or a legacy gala platform?

We don't charge the 20%+ markups that ticketing incumbents built their businesses on, and we don't lock foundations into five-figure annual software contracts the way legacy gala platforms do. You pay a small ticketing fee and, if you want the full event-night suite, a per-gala or annual license — that's it.
